I would love to say that I have been too busy to blog but I am not sure that I wouldn't be lying. I have been busy, yes, but I am not sure if I have been busy enough to justify not blogging. Having a 2 yr old seems to be more work, energy and running around. I would have thought it might slacken a bit but no. I am sure many of you mom's are shaking your head and saying "I could have told you that" in your head but you never really learn no matter how many times someone tells you until you do it yourself.
Birthday parties have been off the hook. Not just Devon's but other's as well. We celebrated Devon's as low key- or so we thought. Just family and a few close friends. It turned into about 30 people. We have more family in the area than we thought. It was still nice and mostly quiet. Devon scored more book than anything else which was exactly as we hoped. She loves them. Next up was the neighbor boy born 2 days after Devon and he was gifted a cute felt, suiting and tie cape. I used a cape pattern I am developing and just cut it out with pinking shears. Then I appliqued his initial cut from pirate fabric onto a field of suiting in the shape of a shield and using an old silk tie as the tie. It turned out AWESOME as Devon will tell you.
I also released my new knitting pattern for Fabric.com: January Cropped Sweater. I am in love with it. You can add to the length easily since it is knit from the top down to make it full length. Check it out when you get the chance.
The loose ends are that we are considering a move to the east side and that means there is alot of painting, carpet cleaning, packing and decluttering going on. Not to mention some more sewing patterns on the drafting table and knitting patterns waiting in the wings. Ahh welll.
