I have been busy and have been documenting every bit of it, but seriously the cat ate my camera cord. Luckily, when we traded in the Mini for a Scion Xb (yes, we have a baby mobile now. We just could not really fit a car seat, let alone 3 dogs and a baby in the back seat of the Mini. I miss it soooo much) we needed to get a new GPS and it came with the cord I needed for my camera. So we are back in business.
First up- Halloween. I saw some pumpkins like this on Martha's website and had to make my own. Martha offers about eleventeen different colors of glitter at Michaels (FYI). It was fun and very mellow project. You can find instructions on her site under crafts and search for glitter pumpkin. I used the white Funkins from Michaels.

Then I made some new curtains for the living room from some outdoor fabric I have been eyeing for about 1 year. They turned out perfectly. I used triple pleat tape bought from Drapery sewing supplies.com and they have links to videos which makes it super-dooper easy! They just need a final hemming at the bottom. Also, I used plumbing pipes for the curtain rod and I love that too! these curtains can survive anything, that pipe is so strong. It looks so masculine in contrast to the more feminine curtains.

Then I made our coffee table into a foot stool by using some left over 4 in foam and some leftover fabric from the dining room curtains. I just sewed the corners with gussets because I didn't feel like making and sewing piping. It is so much more comfy than the plain top, plus when extra company comes over I can use it as a floor cushion in a flash!

Last, I whipped up some new pillowcases. I am aiming to cut down on my ridiculous-sized stash. I used some Chateau Rococco by Free Spirit. I measured a pillowcase added seam allowances for the contrast band at the end and 15 later, I had one done. I even added a decorative stitching at the hem. They were fun and oh so soft.
Now I must away, we are going on vacation next week, the trick-r-treaters are coming soon and I am still working on a few more knitting patterns I want to release by the end of the year. Stay tuned!!
