They say the grass is always greener on the other side. well that is not so true with sleep. When i have sleep i am happy. I never look to the other side and think "darn why can't i be tired for once" NEVER. I am so tired. I can't wait to never remodel again and take a nap.
We got new carpet yesterday and all my pictures are blurry. promise better later. But the difference is AMAZING and i love it. I played with the dogs on the ground yesterday because i could. At first they were confused but then they shrugged their shoulders and decided that if i want to play they were going to play. I never got on the old carpet because it smelled musty, damp, dingy, (fill in your own descriptor) and it was brown, brown swirl, and reddish brown. The youngest was , at best guess, 15 and the oldest was original, almost 35. Gross, i know. But this smells like new, looks like new and is wonderful. Oh please let me continue just a little more. I had to by a bath mat just to put over the threshold from my bathroom to the bedroom because the carpet had pulled back and the tack stripe was exposed. the carpet (the youngest, mind you) at the entrance to the living room was so beaten down it was not even 1/4'' thick. it was also unattached and every time i vacuumed i had to lift it up to get the dust under the carpet but on the hardwood. lastly, the carpet in the bedroom and office (i think it was the middle child) was so thick, my arms and stomach muscles burned a little after vacuuming. it is not a far cry to say we did a gig of joy and every time we passed on another while putting the house back together, we smiled and remarked on remembering how awful it used to be and how great it is now. Yes, carpet brings me joy!
Now, our house is a mess. there is stuff from the closet in the bathroom. there is stuff from the office, closet, living room in the kitchen, and there is stuff from every room in my sewing room. i hope that it will be back to normal this weekend which is just in time for us to replace the linoleum in the kitchen! hooray.
now craft news: i made a cupcake but i have only an unadorned picture and will have a free pattern and adorn picture shortly. (notice i give no time lines for the pictures and pattern- see above about house and sleep)
i also made my mommy an apron, made of Freshcut by Heather Bailey and from Amy Butler's In Stitches. It turned out great!!

That apron is gorgeous!!! I just love freshcut!
