I have been dreaming of dresses lately and, of course, dreaming of more time. (I will be back to dresses shortly) My kitchen is naked! This past weekend, we removed something close fo 40 cabinet doors (i have no idea why more was better in the 1970's cabinet market) all various sizes, removed federalist hardware and hinges, primed and got one coat of paint on them, the second coming this weekend and putting them back together. My front lawn is white from Garrett's master spray gun skills. I can see into every cabinet and my counters are covered with paint supplies and tools needed to compete this project. I am busy wrapping up mother's day presents. My mom received an apron (picture on camera in husband's pocket) and MIL's is still undone. I have been making many things while taking paint breaks. I competed my Freshcut dress (Simplicity 4116) started a Duro and and making a clutch. but i am falling behind in picture taking.
Ok back to dresses. I love Jcrew and always have but it is a star crossed love. One that involves rdiculous shipping charges and snobby, over crowded store that are LIGHTLY sprinkled around the norht metro Atlanta area. None are close enough to make a trip just for the pleasure and i rarely shop any where around them regularly. But JOY! now i sew and am determined to rekindled my love if only with the designs. These are my goals (look at pictures now) I love these and I am determined to make them. the 1st is seersucker and luckily at work we are swimming it is so i can pick and choose. I love the pin tucks. the 2nd i am unsure what print to use but i am sure i want it out of cotton and less formal (this is made of silk and sold out). the third, I am saving for NIgella. There is a print or 2 in the new line that i know will be a perfect omage to this lovely dress. I can't wait to start, but the other 2 will keep me till July. Oh ho wi love that warm weather lasts from Feb till Nov here in GA!

I love all the dresses! After seeing these great inspiration photos, I am now thinking that I need a seersucker dress as well. The bodice on the first seersucker dress is somewhat like Simplicity 3777, just without the sleeves. Can't wait to see your finished results.

I love that last one! I think it would hide my preggers belly well... let me know if you find a similar pattern :)

So cute! I wish I could pull off that last one - I'm just too vertically challenged to wear it, but I love that middle one!

I have been looking for a dress pattern just like the last photo - maybe I didn't read carefully enough but I didn't see a pattern name/number. Is that a pattern or just a super-cute dress from a catalog?
