For one reason or another I am way out of the loop when it comes to decent Adolescent Literature. I remember bringing home summer reading lists and i remember loving to read (as i still do) but when i took a Adolescent Lit class in college, every book we read everyone else had read them all when younger, except me. I missed out on bridge to terabithia, the outsiders, the view from saturday, westing game, and a wrinkle in time to name a few. I have since been devouring newberry prize winners ever since. When i am need of a good book, i pass right over the adult section and move on to the adolscents. I have found that grownup books (as i refer to them) don't have any emotion, real stories or developed characters as i have been introduced to in this genre. Given all of the above, i have been listening to Anne (with an 'e') of Green Gables at work and it will probably affect my language for a few days, so here goes:
I think we should take a moment and really appriciate Laurie. Isn't she wonderful. I really do feel she is my kindred spirit. I laugh with glee and feel every emotion she expresses so very well on her excellent blog. She brings delight to my day. I love her pictures, i just think she has the most wonderfully expressive, lovely face and her cats rock. I am so thankful for her wonderful memory/imagination. I love her and she is my bosom friend (or will be). There i said it. Oh and i wonder if she wears puff sleeves.
P.s. it is raining flower petal outside right now. isn't that glorious!
